“A little piece of heaven!”
Have just spent three nights at Rum Jungle Bungalows and this truly is a tropical paradise. Sue has obviously worked so hard to make it something special. The bungalows were perfect, the garden and pool delightful but more than that it was the little touches that Sue had added that made our stay so special. She gave us first class advice on what to see and do in Lichfield NP and this plus the high standard of accommodation made our stay so memorable. We had a fantastic time and would highly recommend anyone to stay at this tranquil place.

“Peaceful & delightful getaway”
My 2 ½ yo niece & I stayed at Rum Jungle Bungalows for one night this May (2015) on our Litchfield adventure. Sue is great & was very welcoming. We got to meet her family who were visiting and my niece was most excited to meet Sue’s 2 grandkids who she loved playing with. It was a treat to be welcomed but we also had plenty of privacy to do our own thing & wander the gardens.

I loved the cabin & had the best night sleep – even my 2 yr. niece slept in! Sue has decorated the rooms really tastefully. The gardens a Rum Jungle Bungalows are wonderful. A real tropical delight and obviously well cared for and thought out. It was so nice to roam around; meet the chickens and ducks and swim in the pool (the pool has great lounges/seats to chill out on). There’s an awesome shared space in the middle of the property that has a BBQ and outdoor tables to cook and eat and there’s a gorgeous room to eat meals in and chill out in.
If you’re not up for camping I would definitely recommend this place to stay as a base for exploring Litchfield – or treat yourself to a night in an oasis if you have been camping or on a long road trip! This place would suit anyone: couples, family, singles. We will definitely be back. Thanks Sue.

Sue met us on arrival at the Rum, Jungle Bungalows to let us know about the accommodation, facilities, town of Batchelor and suggestions as to how we might use our time in Litchfield. We didn’t make the karaoke at the local that night but her other suggestions were spot on. Spectacular places to visit, dramatically beautiful country and a comfortable and very well equipped “home” to come back to. The setting is lovely as she has spent years planting the property which now has matured growth. The arrangements for self catering are good (and practical) but we found the continental breakfast and pub dinners the way to go. The quiet of the property meant good sleeps on a comfy bed. Not to compare but…. we had looked at other local properties before booking with Sue and adjusted our timing to allow us to stay at Rum Jungle Bungalows. We had a look at the others when we were there and believe we made the right choice, hands down. Delightful.

Rum Jungle Bungalows makes a wonderful ‘base camp’ to explore Litchfield national park. Situated in a beautiful tropical garden setting this facility has everything. The bungalows are clean, compact and well kitted out. The pool is very inviting after a day tracking about in the park. The local tavern offers true outback style hospitality, great bar meals and friendly locals. Bachelor has a healthy country town spirit. We loved it here!
